To celebrate the conclusion of the 2011 S1 Studio Bursary Programme, S1 Artspace presented S1 INTRODUCES, a week-long exhibition showcasing new work by four recent BA Fine Art graduates from Sheffield Hallam University. The exhibition featured a range of media, including drawing, sculpture, photography, and installation.

Earlier that year, these artists had been selected to participate in S1 Artspace’s professional development scheme, where they took part in mentoring sessions and group critiques with studio holders and associated artists such as Simon Bill, James Clarkson, and Haroon Mirza.

The S1 Studio Bursary Programme was designed to support graduating Fine Art students from Sheffield Hallam University by offering them the opportunity to work within a professional studio environment. This experience helped bridge the gap between academic study and the early stages of a professional artistic career.
